The Witch’s Maw III

Galatea is starting to get pushed around by Dauf and Clare finally reaches Jean. But…
- Jean has almost completely transformed. Her will is still strong and she tries her best to suppress the urge to become a monster. With Clare’s arrival, she believes she can die as a human.
- Clare, however, won’t give up and brought her back just as Galatea had done to her.
- Just before Galatea could be defeated, Clare and Jean finally arrive. While Clare and Galatea distract Dauf, Number 9 Jean, who has the fastest, most powerful attack, prepares.
- Dauf finally uses his brain and attacks the three before Jeanecould finish him off. Now all three girls are badly injured. Riful sees this as a win for her side.
- Clare still won’t give up though. With the last of their strength they once again try their plan. With such determination driving her, Clare finally manages to control her borrowed arm, giving Jean the perfect chance to kill Dauf.
- Riful stopped her this time. He is afterall, her man. Clare gets angry and takes a slash on her but there is no wound. Riful transforms into her Awakened state. Since Clare managed to land a hit on her she tells her the name of Pricilla’s lover, ”Isley of the Northern Lands of Alphonse”. With that she disappears.
- Galatea goes back to her original job, taking Clare back to the Organization. Jean wouldn’t let her though. Since Clare saved her from turning into a monster, she feels that she owes Clare her life and thus would do anything for her.
- Galatea backs down and says that she’ll act as if they died. This doesn’t mean that they’ll be allies the next time they meet though.
- In the north, a group of Claymores are getting slaughtered.
This arc finally ends. I didn’t like the last three episodes much. It was kind of repetitive, with Clare completely reliant on Quick Sword. I found Jean’s Awakened State design rather pretty though. Not much to say here. There was just fighting and more fighting. I would watch it for the fighting scenes and last part for the revelation.
Oh! Clare sucked less here as well. She actually managed to control Irene’s arm. Jeane’s arm was also nifty looking too, being able to twist it like that. I didn’t like her attack though. Galatea said she was fast but Jeane’s attacks were stopped both times, even by Dauf who’s suppose to be slow.
Galatea said that they were so weak, they couldn’t have survived an encounter with one of the Dwellers of the Deep/Creatures of the Abyss and that her job didn’t require her to search for dead people, so I’m assuming she’s going to act like they’re dead and not say anything to the Organization.
Clare now has a comrade, but with this new Pricilla development, she may stop looking for Raki for awhile. With the last scene, it looks like the next setting will be the north… unless they start stopping at random villages along the way and fighting Yoma.
Oh Raki~~~ where are you~~~~?
